Denver continues to lead the pack in another real estate category: foreclosures of homes with positive equity! According to a recent article in the Denver Business Journal, 85.9% of homes in foreclosure in Denver have a positive equity, beating cities such as Austin, TX at 83.3% and Honolulu, HI at 79.5%.
Having so many homes in foreclosure that have positive equity give homeowners options that are usually unheard of, according to the article.
But additionally, Colorado’s foreclosure numbers have gone down 17% compared to the previous quarter. Only 1 in every 733 homes in Colorado are in foreclosure.
